And how did it affect my life? It inspired me to be a better person, the person I am today. Why? Because I started finding the true meaning to the Backstreet Boys’ songs, by listening constantly to them and paying attention to the lyrics. People judging me= no friends.īut now, I can prove myself wrong. So, since I knew that BSB weren’t from my era, and nobody my age liked them, I was afraid people would judge me by my taste in music. I always thought that a good conversation topic is the kind of music a person likes. I also had some trouble socializing (still do, less than before though). I even had a BSB-themed birthday party!As I started growing older, I was turning into a shy and insecure person. I knew their names ever since and watched their music videos as if they were movies. My sister, who’s 7 years older than me, obviously lived during BSB’s early days and of course…she was a fan! And since she listened to them all the time, I started liking their music.

But…why Steff? Why the Backstreet Boys?It all started back when I was 6 years old. Well, guess what? I was born in the wrong era and I deal with that every single day of my life.
